PROCUREMENT MANAGER

We are seeking a self-motivated, organized, resourceful individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving to join the tight-knit KMID team as our Procurement Manager. 

This role is central to the success of our projects, overseeing the full lifecycle of procurement for high-end residential interiors - from quoting and purchasing to tracking and delivery. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for vendor relations, accuracy in orders and documentation, and maintaining smooth communication across the design team. In this leadership role, you will also manage and delegate tasks to the Studio Coordinator, ensuring that procurement and administrative processes are carried out efficiently and effectively. This position requires a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast paced client-services environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) with the ability to learn new systems including Studio Designer and Asana

  • Design-industry experience a plus but, not a requirement

This position will be responsible for: 

Procurement and Project Support:

  • Accountable for end-to-end project procurement and vendor coordination to ensure smooth design implementation

  • Oversee all quoting, sourcing, and purchasing of product selections

  • Prepare client proposals

  • Create purchase orders and place orders ensuring accuracy of details and specifications

  • Coordinate with team to understand project requirements and timelines, ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials

  • Lead delivery and installation of all client product at final destination

  • Track all product on order requesting details from vendors and document in software (Studio Designer)

  • Create, revise, and issue receiving list

  • Own preparation for and lead product ETA meetings

  • Request/order samples and handle all returns/repairs 

  • Check stock and price, request fabric reserves and CFA’s

Team Management:

  • Manage and delegate tasks to Studio Coordinator, providing clear direction and oversight

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of Studio Coordinator prepared documents 

  • Serve as the main point of accountability for all procurement processes

Financial Tasks:

  • Manage payment of all office-related expenses, including bill payment, posting expenses, request/save receipts, and renew subscriptions, etc.

  • Monitor and track client expenses to support accurate monthly client billing

Office Tasks:

  • Ensure smooth daily operations by overseeing mail, deliveries, office supplies, incoming phone calls and general organization (tasks carried out with Studio Coordinator support)

Logistics:

  • This position may require some travel nearby. Must have a valid US driver's license, car ownership is a necessity 

  • Availability to start ASAP and work full-time, Monday through Friday, 9AM to 5PM in the KMID office in Winchester, MA

Perks & Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 and is dependent on the candidate’s experience prior to joining KMID. In addition, we offer the following benefits:
